about abraham

From Galicia Spain, Abraham Cupeiro is a versatile musician, composer, instrument builder, and multi-instrumentalist who specializes in restoring and performing on ancient and rare wind instruments.  His passion lies in reviving forgotten sounds and bringing them into contemporary musical contexts. For this North American debut performance, he will be accompanied onstage by some of Ontario’s most talented chamber musicians.

His music takes audiences on a voyage through different historical periods and cultures using many diverse ancient instruments including the Karnyx (Celtic War Horn), Cornu de Pompeii and the Galician bagpipes. Abraham has recently recorded his second CD with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London England.
